Western Massachusetts Medical Facility Chiller Replacement

USI was contacted by a Preventative Maintenance Contract Client to replace an aging 80-ton liquid cooled chiller at a peripheral property. We worked with building management and the on-site facilities team to design and select a suitable Carrier replacement for this existing McQuay chiller. Our rigging team removed the existing chiller through the facilities’ step-down stairwell and brought in the new Carrier chiller through the same route. In all, USI installed a new nominal 80-ton liquid cooler Carrier chiller complete with stand alone BACnet communication controller, 600GPM Cooling Tower, two 7.5HP condenser water pumps, two Bell & Gossett return pumps, and two 25-Ton Trane Intellipak units for other areas of the building.
